Tween help needed! @ 01:51 am

Current Mood: hopeful
Current Music: Outkast: "Happy Valentine's Day"

No, not for that, you perverts. Pixie has a twelve year old sister who *desperately* needs to be educated about the *truth* about sexuality and gender. Less than no help from other family members, here. Anyone have books/films/media/etc. recs that would be appropriate for a well-read but unfortunately somewhat prejudiced tween? Everything I'm thinking of requires at least a 15-16 year old mind.

Posting R Hard @ 04:30 am

Current Mood: cheerful
Current Music: Outkast: "Unhappy"

Especially when I don't want to stop writing for even. One. Minute.

Things are going fairly well at casa del Jack and Te, though the economy is chewing up our city and spitting it out in moist little shreds.

Okay, so that was pretty disgusting. Sorry. The biggest news here is that I've been diagnosed with sleep apnea. Yay! No, seriously. It's a *diagnosis*. Of something *which can be treated*. With things that are *covered by my pathetic insurance*. Honestly, I'm thrilled. I've been told that I'll be expected to jump through hoops before I'll get my breathing machine, but I'm all set for that, man. Those sleep study appointments represent the first two good nights of sleep that I've had since Clinton was in office. The difference was *amazing*, both in terms of how rested I felt the next day and how much (little!) pain I was in. So do a little chair-dance for me, eh?

Now for the good stuff. I'm 90,000+ words into a story that I will not actually be posting, because it's just that dirty. Yes, *that* dirty. Instead, I'll make it available to people who solemnly swear they won't flame my ass or get triggered into cutting fleshy snowflakes out of their thighs or whatever. You'll be seeing a post along those lines when I'm done with the thing -- I'm gunning for pre-Christmas. 'tis the season! No, don't tell me you want it now. I'm still working to make the disclaimer/description as detailed as possible (without spoiling the fun), so that people can make informed decisions.

For the rest of you, I have a couple of much, much shorter stories that I hope to have edited *also* pre-Christmas. One's another missing scene from "A way so familiar," and the other is a porny one-shot involving Dick, Tim, and some spoilers.

Hope everything is well with y'all, and now, if you'll excuse me, I'll get back to digging myself to Hell, one orgasm at a time.

*smooch*

Disclaimers: No one and nothing here is mine.

Spoilers/Timeline: References to various older storylines. Meant to take place not long after "A Death in the Family," or, depending on how you look at it, Red Hood's earlier adventures through the canon I'm not actually reading.

Summary: Jason knows how to make things better.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content which does and doesn't dovetail with the content some readers may find disturbing. I'm extra serious this time. In fact... Jack suggested that I provide an *extra* warning: If you can't watch this video all the way through, this story *might* be a little too fucked for you.

Author's Note: Jack gave me this idea after reading Everything awakened, though this story has nothing to do with the other. There's just something lovely about throwing Jason around the multiverse.

Acknowledgments: Much love to Jack, Pixie, and Mildred for audiencing and encouragement.

Story goes *here*.

Spoilers/Timeline: Vague references to older storylines. Takes place over the course of about fifteen years.

Summary: Share and share alike.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content which does and doesn't dovetail neatly with the content some readers may find disturbing.

Author's Note: Missing scenes and a sequel to the first ending of A way so familiar and So safe and comforting. Will not make a *lick* of sense without the others.

Acknowledgments: Much love to Jack and Mildred for audiencing and encouragement.

Disclaimers: No one and nothing here is mine.

Spoilers/Timeline: Vague mentions of older storylines.

Summary: Secrets, lies, and ghosts.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content some readers may find to be disturbing.

Author's Note: Call it a potential sequel to the first ending of A way so familiar, starting some weeks after the end. Will not make *any* sense without the first.

Acknowledgments: Much love to Mildred and Jack for audiencing, encouragement, and interesting noises.

Still alive. Yep. Kicking, even. @ 11:08 pm

Current Mood: okay
Current Music: Sufjan Stevens: "The Transfiguration"

Sorry I've been so silent again. There's something wacky going on with my health (specifically, my intense lack of a sleep schedule and my ever-so-unstable moods) again, and I've been spending my time working against it. Still, I'm 190,000+ words into that Jason story I mentioned a while back, and the end is in sight.

Also, one of the things that happens when I'm a moody bitch of a Te? Watching stuff. Here's my thoughts in brief, for those of you what care about such things.

Ah, television. )

And movies! Yay, movies! Some spoilers, be careful. )

Would you like a snippet? Because I can give you a snippet. )

And a little whining. Please GOD ignore it. )

Current Mood: sore
Current Music: Lys Guillorn: "Little Wren"

Oh! Hello! Yes, I'm here, and everything is all right. Especially since you guys have been leaving me *wonderful* feedback. Seriously, so awesome, and I'll be doing my best to respond to every last comment just as soon as things slow down a little over here. Jack and I've had some health... oh, let's just call them Issues and leave it at that, but we're doing okay. In other news, I've got one small and two hefty-ish sequels to 'A way so familiar' written, and as soon as I clear the decks a bit, I'll be posting. I guarantee: absolutely none of you have asked for any of them!

*laughs*

Right this second, I'm 45,000+ words into a completely different story, which Jack tells me is one of the most disturbing things I've ever written. Well, we'll see. Here's how it starts:

September 11, 2008

Disclaimers: No one and nothing here is mine.

Spoilers/Timeline: A lot of references to older storylines, the newest being "War Games" and "Identity Crisis." AU all over the place -- and much won't make sense without first reading "The Lesson," which is available here.

Summary: In many ways, it's the role of a lifetime.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content which mostly does not dovetail with the content some readers may find to be disturbing.

Author's Note/Acknowledgments: I've wanted to write this story for years, but I couldn't have done it without the constant help and input of Petra, Mildred, and especially Jack as they helped me research, picked me up when I was feeling overwhelmed, gave me countless brilliant ideas, and, overall, kept me flying high as I wrote. This... it's the story of my heart, and I think it shows. I hope it works for y'all, too.

Story? Yes, story.

Spoilers/Timeline: AU-ized references to older storylines. Meant to take place not long before Tim's fifteenth birthday.

Summary: Tim pwns, Jason copes, and Bruce has a very good day.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content which does and does not dovetail neatly with the content some readers may find to be disturbing.

Author's Note: Third in The Young and the Battish series, starting a few weeks after the end of "A wondrous mirror." Will *not* make sense without the others.

Acknowledgments: To Pixie, Mildred, and Jack for audiencing, encouragement, hand-holding, and tireless efforts to make me keep writing in a language comprehensible to more than just the voices in my head.

Snippet: Knows how to choose them @ 09:26 pm

Current Mood: mellow
Current Music: The Delgados: "13 Gliding Principles"

Um... hi? Much love to everyone who sent birthday wishes -- I had an absolutely fabulous day, what with the hot sex, the sushi, and the new action figures. (Would any of *you* like a toon!Timmy with a uniform which strongly suggests that he's *Nightwing's* Robin? Because there are a few available...) In any event, I've now got three ginormous WIPs I'm working on, and they're kind of taking *all* of my time, but, well --

Disclaimers: No one and nothing here is mine.

Spoilers/Timeline: Vague references to older storylines. Takes place several months after the events of NIGHTWING: YEAR ONE.

Summary: They both get lonely.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content.

Author's Note: Jack wanted Dick in thigh-high stockings. How could I ever say no to that?

Acknowledgments: To Mildred for audiencing and encouragement, and to Jack for that awful, wonderful title.

I'm sure that I'll eventually get over men in drag, but it really hasn't happened yet. )

I fail, but I try to do it entertainingly. @ 05:47 pm

Current Mood: busy

Instead of editing the sequel to A wondrous mirror, I started writing another story, and there's a third story kind of nibbling at my brain, and --

Yes, well. Have a couple of snippets.

That sequel )

That *other* story. )

And then there's that other *other* story, but I don't want to jinx it until I start writing the thing. And then there are a couple of snippets which I'll hopefully be able to post soonish. *flails around* Posting is *hard*.

Disclaimers: No one and nothing here is mine.

Spoilers/Timeline: References to older storylines. Veers AU after The Killing Joke.

Summary: Tim moves, Jason loves, Bruce fails, and excellent cocoa is consumed.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content which doesn't really have anything at all to do with the content some readers may find to be disturbing. Additionally, this is probably one of the most sugary things I've written in my life. If tooth decay is a worry for you, you just might want to give this a pass.

Author's Note: AU-ish sequel to "All the things of the world." I played around with the timeline, a little. This one still won't make much sense without the other.

Acknowledgments: Much love to Pixie, Mildred, and Jack, all of whom helped to make this much better than it would've been.

Story goes *here*.

Current Music: Aimee Mann: "One"

And I've been working on a story for the past few weeks. It is, of course, not one of the stories that I'd mentioned working on *before*, but, well. It's a story. And it's done. And it's about 86,000 words.

... yeah, I don't know , either. If you're interested, it's a slightly AU sequel to All the things of the world, which some of you may remember as the story in which I decided Tim should be... um. Batgirl.

... yeah.

Anyway, I'm working on editing it now, and pondering a sequel, and various other things, too. The point is that I'm alive, and aware that I owe a lot of you comments and replies. I'll get there.
