Disclaimers: No one and nothing here is mine.

Spoilers/Timeline: Vague mentions of older storylines.

Summary: Secrets, lies, and ghosts.

Ratings Note/Warnings: Sexual content some readers may find to be disturbing.

Author's Note: Call it a potential sequel to the first ending of A way so familiar, starting some weeks after the end. Will not make *any* sense without the first.

Acknowledgments: Much love to Mildred and Jack for audiencing, encouragement, and interesting noises.

Story goes here!

You know, I got to the end of this, and Tim was so close to letting Lex in, and I realized I was rapping my knuckles against the desk in anticipation for the moment when someone would get Tim, would understand.. and when it didn't come I had to leave the room and get a drink and walk away for a bit. XD; Then I thought about Tim's major trust issues and managed to settle myself down enough to re-read the ending, and be content with it for now. Alfred telling Tim exactly what he thought was just vicious and perfect.

If people told you they prefer the second ending of A Way So Familiar, it's because they aren't thinking of the potential of the first, even now. Tim is incredibly versatile as a character, making himself fit in and lead but always keeping some part of himself secret.

Absolutely fascinating and in need of several re-reads to digest it all, and I can't wait to see the Jason fic as well.

Hi. Um, I just started rereading "And Each Moment Moved series" in reverse order for reasons that are too stupid to explain, and I found THIS story. I don't know how I missed it! It's such an important and really wonderful chunk of the whole storyline and really helps to understand "So safe and comforting." It is also a nice parallel to "Country Matters" In "Country" I love how Bruce is so moved, so to speak, that Tim comes to him with his little problem, and how Lex feels the same way in "So safe." I think I'm developing a kink for sexually-reassigned Tim. Now I'm going to start looking for more stories I've missed.
